Ofsted registered day nursery providing childcare for children aged 0 - 5 years
We pride ourselves on creating a happy, nurturing environment for all our children. We do this through building strong partnerships with families from day one until they leave and beyond, to ensure children thrive whilst in our care.
We offer half day or full day sessions with funding stretched across the year to keep continuity for your child and support working families.
ABC 123 Day Nursery accepts funded places for all ages subject to eligibility, tax free childcare and university bursaries.
We have a happy, caring, fully qualified childcare team, including a qualified cook. 100% of practitioners are Level 3 qualified or higher, paediatric first aid trained, basic safeguarding trained and have safer food handling certificates.
British Values
Fundamental British values underpin our curriculum and opportunities to develop these are woven through a variety moments. We have a strong understanding of our Cultural Capital, enabling us to have a curriculum that is bespoke to the children that attend our setting.
Practitioners use an online system, to share achievements, photographs and learning with parents. Parents can also share their own observations and celebrations from home through this system.
Acorns Room: Babies from 3 months
In Acorns, we care for babies from 3 months old. Our staff have specialist training in supporting very young babies, and attachment is at the heart of everything we do.
This is where your baby's sense of security is built. Their key person becomes their secure base, the adult they turn to, the person who knows their cues and responds with warmth and consistency. We create a calm, sensory-rich environment painted in soft, neutral tones. Less visual clutter means more space for exploration, peace, and the kind of focused attention that very young babies need.
Your baby sleeps comfortably in their own cot or mattress with their own bedding.
Fresh bottles are made up in our own kitchen when needed, using your specific milk. First-stage formula milk is included in our fees, as are nappies and wipes because these essentials shouldn't add to your costs. Each child has their own labelled peg to store a bag with spare clothes and comfort items.
Everything your baby explores is safe and developmentally appropriate. We're observing constantly, noticing what captures their attention, responding to their needs, creating the moments of connection that build their confidence and sense of belonging.

Saplings Room: Children aged 1 to 2 years
This room is designed to support growing independence and confidence in movement.
The Saplings room offers opportunities to explore surroundings, use activities on different levels to build confidence in walking and climbing, and attempt skills themselves. As children try things, fall, recover, and try again, they're building self-confidence and learning that effort matters. We're there to offer encouragement, model language, and celebrate the courage it takes to keep going.
The children are encouraged to explore using all their senses. All activities are safe and developmentally suited to the children in the room. We have mattress beds available for children who need sleep during the day.

Willows Room: Children aged 2 to 3 years
In Willows, we care for children aged between 2 and 3 years. The room begins to have a little more structure to support concentration, turn-taking, and wellbeing, but play remains at the centre.
This is often the room where toilet training begins. Children have a choice of potties or toilets, and we support them at their own pace with encouragement and celebration. We understand that learning to use the toilet is deeply personal and takes time.
Mattress beds are available for children who need sleep during the day.

Chestnuts Room: Children aged 3 years to Reception
In Chestnuts, we care for children from 3 years old until they move to Reception class. This room is designed to prepare children for school but in a way that keeps play, relationships, and joy at the centre.
We have links with local schools to ensure children feel confident and ready for their next step. Children are encouraged towards independence in self-care, personal safety, and responsibility. They help with meal preparation, serving, and clearing away. They take on roles during tidy-up time and other moments throughout the day. These aren't chores they're opportunities to build self-esteem and see themselves as capable, valued members of the community.

Our New Home
Our move to 11B Olympic Park reflects our commitment to providing the very best environment for children to learn, grow, and thrive.
The new building has been carefully designed so that each room has its own entrance off the main corridors, giving children a sense of their own space within the nursery. Rooms are bigger, which means more room for movement, exploration, and varied learning experiences. All rooms have air conditioning and heating, so children are comfortable whatever the season.
Our garden is newly laid astro turf located at the side of the building safe, accessible, and weather-proof. Children are encouraged to experience the outdoors every day, whatever the weather.
We ask for weather-appropriate clothing to be provided, including wellies, a raincoat, sun hats, and sun cream. Wellies can be labelled and left at the nursery. This encourages children to change their footwear before playing outside during wet weather.
We've invested in security systems that keep your child safe whilst respecting their privacy and ours. Parents use a safe 2-way intercom system to buzz the room your child is in at drop-off and collection. Staff use face recognition to enter the nursery, then fobs to move through the building. Parents do not come into the setting at drop-off and collection we bring your child to you, and you know exactly where they are and who they're with.
Admissions process
We operate a gradual admissions process because we know that starting nursery is a big moment—for children and for parents.
We invite you and your child to visit and meet your child's key person. This first session is about exploration, conversation, and building connection. We talk about your child's current routine, likes, dislikes, sleep patterns, feeding preferences, and anything else we need to know to care for them well.
A second session gives your child time in the room while you complete registration with our Nursery Manager. After that, you're entitled to as many settling sessions as your family needs as agreed between you and the nursery. There's no rush. We've learned that children settle best when parents feel confident, and parents feel confident when they've had time to build trust.
Key people work in partnership with the Nursery Manager and you to monitor your child's development and support with any referrals, personal plans, or strategies if needed.
CCTV
At ABC 123, the safety and happiness of your child is paramount. We operate CCTV throughout the building, which is regularly monitored in the office. We use a safe 2-way intercom system for parent communication at drop-off and collection, and staff use face recognition and fobs to access the building. Parents do not come into the setting—we bring your child to you.

Settling in sessions
Your child’s first session is with their key person where they can explore their new Nursery environment whilst the parent and key person can discuss your child’s current routine, likes and dislikes, specific requirements, and abilities etc.
The second session enables your child to spend some time in the room while parent/ carer comes into the Nursery library to complete registration forms with the Nursery Manager. You are then entitled to as many short settling sessions as necessary before your child starts Nursery, as agreed between parents and Nursery.
