About the scheme
Warrington Borough Council and partners have launched the Breastfeeding and Baby Welcome Scheme to support breastfeeding mothers and create a more inclusive environment for families across the borough.
It encourages businesses and community venues to become a known Breastfeeding and Baby Welcome space, offering a warm, respectful, and practical setting for families.
Venues can apply for silver or gold status, based on the level of support and facilities offered.
As part of the scheme, they would offer a welcoming environment, privacy options and have a breastfeeding policy in line with the Equality Act 2010.
Registered venues will display a sticker and receive a certificate to highlight their commitment.
