This practical and inspiring 3-hour workshop is designed for gardeners and nature enthusiasts who want to discover the richness of autumn and make the most of this colourful and rewarding season in the garden.
As the growing season draws to a close, autumn offers a wealth of opportunities to observe plants, collect inspiration and prepare for the year ahead. You’ll learn how to recognise seasonal changes in trees, shrubs and flowering plants, identify seeds, fruits and other autumn features, and discover practical gardening techniques such as collecting seed, dividing perennials, planting for next spring and improving your garden for wildlife.
The workshop also explores how gardens can continue to provide food and shelter for birds, pollinators and other beneficial wildlife throughout autumn and winter. By the end of the session, you’ll have the knowledge and confidence to make the most of the season, helping your garden remain beautiful, productive and full of life long after summer has faded.
