About
Family Hubs offer support for children, young people, and families, with a strong focus on early years (from conception to age five) to help children get the best start in life and be ready for school.
You can get help if you’re:
- a parent or carer of a child aged 0 to 19, or 25 with special educational needs or a disability
- pregnant
- a young person up to the age of 19, or up to 25 if you have special educational needs or a disability.

What you can expect
- A friendly team on site that can help you to access services and information
- Antenatal and postnatal services with Community Midwives
- Development reviews and advice drop-in sessions with Health Visitors
- Support with breastfeeding, bottle feeding, and introducing solid foods to your baby
- Play and learning sessions, such as ‘PEEP’ for you and your child to socialise and learn new things
- Baby Massage classes
- Speech and Language programmes
- Parenting courses
- Citizens Advice, DWP and Housing
Outreach services at local libraries and community venues.
Play and learning sessions are led by qualified and experienced Family Hub Practitioners and are designed to help you engage in your child’s development and embed ideas in the Home Learning Environment.
